Terms
The service account does not own the work.
You own what you write and what you choose to keep. A Kaizen account governs identity, new provider requests, billing, and paid allowance. It does not own or gate Weaver's local writing, prior results, verified Archive, restore, source download, or complete portable handoff.
A clear starting point.
- You own your manuscripts, marks, dictionary entries, decisions, local history, and any AI output you choose to keep.
- Weaver Free is the complete local app with account activation, optional Gemini BYOK, free Archive and restore, free portable handoff, and zero Kaizen-hosted Reads.
- Weaver Pro is $20 per month for 300 Kaizen-hosted Gemini Reads per calendar month with paid rollover while subscribed. Suite Pro is $30 per month and includes the full Weaver Pro allowance.
- Hosted AI and BYOK requests pass through a Kaizen proxy to the named provider. A BYOK credential belongs to you and is governed by your provider account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Kaizen's AI provider features.

Acceptance
By using a Kaizen Suite service, you agree to these terms and the linked privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the online service. If you act for a business or other organization, you state that you have authority to bind it.

What the service is
Kaizen Weaver, Rewriter, and R/W are browser-based writing tools. Their free and paid provider paths differ by app. Weaver Free has no Kaizen-hosted allowance. The current capabilities, allowances, and prices are stated on the pricing page.
The products are evolving. Features, models, and names can change. A change does not convert locally held writing into Kaizen property or remove the free Weaver export path.
03 · The agreement
Access and accounts
A genuinely new Weaver browser profile activates with Continue with Google or passwordless email. Email challenges are single use and expire after 15 minutes. Kaizen does not create an email password, so there is no password reset flow. Google identity and Google Drive authorization are separate services and permissions.
Weaver requires a current Kaizen account session for every new provider request, including BYOK. Existing browser-local Weaver material opens without passing that account threshold. Sign out, session expiry, account outage, cancellation, and account deletion do not remove local work or free exports.
R/W and Rewriter retain their current email access flows until their own account entry changes are published. Keep account sessions and activation links private. Kaizen may revoke online access that is abused, shared improperly, attacked, or used in violation of these terms.
04 · The agreement
Subscriptions and billing
Weaver Pro is $20 per month. Other current per-app Pro plans are priced as shown on the pricing page. Suite Pro is $30 per month for all three apps under one subscription. Each subscription renews monthly until cancelled. Account and billing controls live at account.kaizenrw.com.
Checkout and full payment card details are handled by Stripe. The Kaizen account page opens Stripe's Billing Portal for plan and cancellation controls. Cancellation stops future renewal and paid access continues through the current paid period. An overdue payment can pause new paid provider requests. Local work and prior locally kept results remain available.
Suite entitlement takes precedence for app access. The account page identifies any separately billed subscription that still needs to be managed. Do not assume that choosing Suite silently cancels every older or separately created subscription.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before the change applies to a renewal. Billing is also subject to Stripe's Customer Portal terms and privacy policy.
05 · The agreement
Hosted allowance and BYOK
Weaver Pro receives 300 new Kaizen-hosted Gemini Reads each calendar month. Unused paid Reads roll over only while the paid Weaver or Suite subscription remains active. Cancellation, deletion, refund, or entitlement loss can end paid rollover and future hosted use.
A hosted Read is charged against allowance only after the response is durably kept in the local Weaver record and the reservation is committed. A request that ends before completion can release or expire its reservation. A pending commitment remains pending rather than being represented as uncharged without proof.
BYOK requests do not consume Kaizen-hosted allowance. Your provider bills you directly. Kaizen passes the credential through its proxy for the requested call and does not store it. Provider terms, regions, quotas, retention, safety processing, and charges for that key remain your responsibility.
06 · The agreement
Refunds
Pro and Suite are monthly subscriptions. When you cancel, access continues to the end of the paid period and you are not charged again. We generally do not refund a current period after paid AI features have been used because those provider costs have already been incurred.
If Kaizen is genuinely broken and you cannot use what you paid for, contact hello@kaizenrw.com. We will review a service credit or refund where appropriate. A charge without delivered paid access is ours to investigate and correct.
07 · The agreement
Your content and free exit
You keep all rights to your manuscripts, sources, marks, dictionary entries, decisions, revision history, and any AI-generated output you choose to keep. You grant only the limited permission needed to carry an explicit request between your browser, Kaizen's proxy, and the provider you selected.
Weaver's verified Archive, restore path, original source download, and complete portable handoff remain free. Paid status does not control local work or prior provider results. Suite may add direct delivery to Rewriter v2 only after a compatible receiver ships and both apps prove current Suite access. The same complete portable file remains available for free.
08 · The agreement
Account deletion
Account deletion is initiated from the Kaizen account page after recent authentication. It cancels active Kaizen subscriptions, revokes connected Drive grants, removes paid Weaver rollover, revokes account sessions and identities, and leaves a bounded anonymized record needed to keep the deleted account from being restored by a late billing event.
Account deletion does not delete browser-local Weaver data or writer-owned files in Google Drive. Weaver's local reset is a separate writer action. Third parties may keep billing, security, abuse-prevention, and legal records under their own terms.
09 · The agreement
Third-party services
Weaver hosted AI routes through Kaizen's proxy to Google Gemini on Kaizen's paid API account. Weaver BYOK routes to Google Gemini using your own key. R/W and Rewriter retain their published Google and Anthropic provider paths. Provider output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. You remain responsible for reviewing what you keep.
Continue with Google, Gemini API processing, optional Google Drive authorization, Stripe billing, and Anthropic processing are separate third-party services. Their current terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the service. Read Google's user data policy, the Gemini API terms, and the Anthropic commercial terms.
10 · The agreement
Acceptable use
Do not use Kaizen to create or refine illegal content, sexually explicit material involving minors, or targeted harassment. Do not probe, bypass, attack, overload, scrape, resell, or rebrand the service, its providers, or another writer's account or session. Provider policies can impose additional restrictions.
Kaizen can suspend or terminate online access for violations. We may warn first when that is safe and reasonable. Serious abuse, security threats, fraud, or repeated violations can result in immediate action.
11 · The agreement
Availability
Kaizen runs on a best-effort basis without an uptime guarantee. The account service, providers, payment service, and apps can be unavailable, slow, changed, or discontinued. A Weaver online outage should pause new provider work while leaving existing local writing and free export available.
12 · The agreement
Disclaimers and limits
Kaizen is provided "as is" without warranties. AI suggestions and factual assertions can be wrong, incomplete, misleading, or out of date. You are the author and remain responsible for every editorial and publication decision.
To the extent allowed by law, Kaizen's total liability for a claim arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid Kaizen in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing. Kaizen is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or lost-profit damages where the law permits that limitation.
13 · The agreement
Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as the product evolves. The effective date below reflects this version. For a significant change to pricing, service scope, or data handling, we will provide notice to the account email where required and reasonably possible. Continued online use after the effective date means you accept the update.
14 · The agreement
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the operator of Kaizen is resident, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction continue to apply where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
